Get involved

Make theatre. Make connections.

Interested in being part of English-language theatre in Eindhoven? Next Act Collective brings together actors, creatives and volunteers to make productions and explore new skills through workshops and collaboration.

Act One · The people you make it with

Beyond the curtain call.

Next Act grew because people wanted to keep creating together after the first Pride and Prejudice. We want new people to find that same sense of connection: being welcomed into the group, having a part to play and getting to know the people alongside you.

“I also felt a tremendous sense of belonging and bonding with the group … friendships that survived PAST the workshop.”

Act Two · Ways in

Find your part in it.

The cast for Pride and Prejudice is set. We’re welcoming help with lighting cues, photography, video recording and front of house. Our set and build team is already underway, and there’s room for more people to lend a hand.

The opportunities below are unpaid. We offer complimentary tickets as a thank you for the time and skills our volunteers contribute.

Our long-term aim is to secure enough funding to compensate everyone who contributes to our productions, while continuing to welcome voluntary and in-kind support.

Act Three · Taking part

A good fit for you and the group.

Different roles ask for different kinds of commitment. Before you join, we’ll discuss what the work involves, the time it needs and what support is available.

What you can expect

A clear role, people to learn from, room for questions and recognition for your contribution. We aim to make the process welcoming and worthwhile, from the first conversation to the final performance.

What we ask

Bring care, curiosity and reliability. Keep the commitments you agree to, tell us early when something changes and stay open to feedback. Everyone helps make the group a good place to work.

How it starts

Introduce yourself, tell us what interests you and share your availability. We’ll discuss current opportunities and any next steps, which may include an audition or a conversation about a particular skill.

Time and payment

The opportunities currently listed are unpaid, with complimentary tickets offered as a thank you. We’ll agree the time and work involved before you commit.

Actors pay a flat participation contribution, equal for every acting role. The amount is set in each production’s initial budget before auditions and communicated as part of the audition information. Backstage volunteers do not pay a participation fee.

Act Four · Introduce yourself

Tell us what draws you in.

Share what you’d like to make, try or learn, and a little about your availability. You can ask about a current role, a workshop or a future production.

Your interests, skills or ideas, and when you might be available.
